To make phone calls over the Marinanet system using VOIP
all you need is a headset or USB phone, a phone account
with a telephony provider, a suitable telephone program
and a working Marinanet account. In addition, Marinanet
is testing it's own VOIP server and currently Marinanet
users are able to make FREE untimed calls within
Australia reasonable use policy applies, Mobile calls are
excluded. If you wish to use this facility please contact
us to get a user ext. and password.
Firstly, download the recommended free phone software from
Xten by clicking
here, it will open up a new page on the Xten site. Save
the program on your computer and then run the program to
install, typically the default install is recommended but
you may change it according to your needs. If you want to
invest in a better program then purchase EyeBeam from the
Xten site, not expensive and much better to use.
Secondly, Click here to get the
XtenLite settings for connecting to the Marinanet system.
Configure your newly installed program with these settings,
at this point you must have already arranged with us to
get a user Ext and password.
You are now ready to make phone calls..
